This painting started out as an experiment to do a watercolor where the predominant color was white. I found an advertisement in a magazine for sheets and bedding, and used that as my basis.
In watercolor painting, the white of the paper for the color of white, so what I had to paint was the variations of tints of white, the shadows and the other colors that often go unnoticed.
I believe this is one of my favorite paintings because it is about being able to sleep in, getting a cup of coffee, curling up with a good book and listening to all the rest of the world getting into their cars to go to work!
