Rise and Shine
There was a time when I lived in the thriving metropolis of Alexander, NC. It was a long drive to work in the mornings, but I loved the views and the countryside. Each morning I’d pass the cows straining their necks through the barb wire fences to get to the grass near the roadside, totally ignoring the open fields of grass behind them. I’d tip my coffee cup to them as I passed by and said “Morning ladies!” I passed this barn each day on my commute, and loved how the sun came up right behind it, which was the inspiration for this painting.
