Sparkling Vase
I painted this watercolor one night at about 3am. I had made a promise to myself that I would paint something every day to develop good habits and build on my skills. I was going to college at night, and had been working on a term paper all evening. As I finally started to drag myself to bed, I realized I hadn’t painted anything that day. I grabbed a small piece of watercolor paper and quickly did this painting.
The next morning I tossed it in the trash as “not being good enough”. My best friend in the world came in, saw it in the trash can and promptly smacked me for throwing it away. It has turned out to be one of my best selling paintings and a number of people have told me how much they enjoy looking at it during their day. I believe there is a lesson in that!
