This painting was inspired by an old ad for sheets I clipped out as a reference.

It evokes the feeling of a relaxing Saturday morning and was a deliberate exercise in painting a scene of complete white. In watercolors, the technique is to focus on soft shadows in the bedroom scene while preserving the white of the paper for highlights.
